So?  How do you like it?  I had a great time designing it.  Now it has to be shrunk really small so it’ll fit at the top of my site.  LOL.  Please note the very impressive “S” shape going around the person.  That wasn’t easy to do, ya know!  Hey Rachel, do you recognize this?  Yep, this is really one of our very own models standing on top of a dilapidated building risking life and limb to provide us with fabulous images.  Rachel rocks!

I am ready to start shooting again so let’s do it!  I am looking for models over 18 to work with me on some winter themes.  We will do some in studio shoots and some on location.  I need GROUPS of models to portray friends giving gifts, holiday party, groups of carolers, etc.  We will need you in outdoor clothes, jackets, hats, mittens, scarves and maybe classy party outfits, depending on which shoot you are chosen for.

Models don’t need to have experience but it does help.  Please only serious, dependable people need apply.  Remember all our shoots like this are TFCD.  See more general information above under the Syracuse Modeling tab.

The on location shoots are weather dependant and I am also trying to get some indoor locations that haven’t gotten back to me yet so those dates are TBA.  I need to have these shoots done by December 15 so please contact me as soon as possible.  You will find our contact information under the contact tab at the top of the site.

After we did our quick pass through of Columbia we headed up to Greenville to visit our good friend and fellow photographer, Jason Tench.  He allowed us to use his studio and showed us a few of the cool places to shoot around his area.  The picture above shows Jason and I in action in beautiful Falls Park.  You would never believe this place if you didn’t see it yourself.  It’s right in the middle of the city and you have no idea it is there until you walk down this flight of stairs and find yourself in a different world.  There are waterfalls, as you would imagine and gardens and walkways every where.  Our models where fantastic.  Stephanie is a funny girl.  She has no problem being silly, wearing strange things and hamming it up in a billion different ways.  Amanda was just beautiful and super easy to shoot.  We all had a great time.  Here are some more of our photos from the day:

Columbia, SC was another stop on our model shooting tour.  We only had 3 models but they were great to work with.  We worked in some pretty interesting places during our trip, but Columbia had one of the most interesting shooting areas of them all.  We were under a highway overpass and in an old warehouse/storage building.  3Jay productions helped us out by providing both female models in Columbia as well as models in Charleston and Greenville.  A big THANK YOU to them!

Where did the time go?  He used to be my “goofus-maroofus-gigglepus monster” and now he’s all grown up with a real girlfriend who tells me she wants me to be her Mother-in-law!  HA!  I’m really glad she’s a really nice girl and that she cares so much about my son.  They are very cute together.  She is coming up again perhaps for Thanksgiving.  I need her here some more so I can spend some time to get to know her a little better.

I have been shooting portraits like crazy since I got back from our model trip! Everyone wants fall portraits and we had to work kinda hard to find some foliage that hadn’t succumbed to gravity by our early November session time.

If people sign model releases I can use their pictures on the blog to show everyone what we do. Understandably, not everyone feels comfortable with that kind of attention so I can’t show you everything. I can show you some though. I have so much fun shooting with these families. I love watching their kids grow when I’ve been shooting with them for several years. Some even have new additions to their cute kids club which I think is the greatest thing EVER. The new families are always fun, too. Getting to know them and documenting their family tradions is a special treat. I really have the greatest job in the world.

Here is one family who I’ve been working with for a long time now. They’ve just added another little one to the mix and they were brave enough to come out on a very brisk fall day to get some pictures of all of them together. Here are Marissa and her handsome boys:

Marian and MIchael have allowed me to come out and play with them for two years now. And they have another little one, too! This time it’s a girl! They have some EXTREMELY cute children, don’t you think? What a beautiful family. One thing you have to be aware of, if we do outdoor portraits make sure the kiddos are wearing washable clothes!! These kids LOVED the leaves and they got really into the dirt underneath those leaves, too.

Some of you know that we just got back from an amazing model shooting tour of the Eastern United States.  Well, one of the places that we stopped on our way was in Charleston, SC.  WOW!  I really love that place.  I have to go back when I dont have to work quite so hard.  There are lots of cool places there to expore.  It’s a real feast for the eyes.

While we were there we had the great opportunity to shoot with some fabulous models.  We shot with great models just about everywhere we went, and I dont mean to imply that the Charleston models were the only great ones, but their pictures happen to be coming out from the Matt Editing Machine right now.  So, before I burn their disks and send them off I figured I’d show you some of what we’ve been up to.

We started the day with a themed shoot.  We wanted a couple relaxing at home, working in the kitchen and generally enjoying one anothers company.  Kristal and Jason did a great job super early in the morning pretending to eat Matts rubber eggs.  LOL  We all did pretty well for being so completely exhausted.

After that, we headed out into the city and met up with some more models to shoot some fun fashion/urban stuff.  It was mostly using the unique textures and colors of Charleston to set off our models talents.  It was fun.  I hope we get a chance to shoot with these guys again sometime.
